Hurst Farm Cottages are an ideal touring base to discover the beautiful county of Shropshire. There are many attractive market towns and villages near Hurst cottages and world class museums and tourist attractions.

A mere five minute drive from Hurst Farm Cottages, Bridgnorth is one of

the most beautiful market towns in England. Often referred to as

"The Jewel of The Severn" Bridgnorth occupies one of the most spectacular inland town settings in England.

The lower part of the town Low Town straddles the magnificent River Severn, whilst the upper portion High Town is perched dramatically on top of one hundred foot sandstone cliffs. The two are linked by a series of historic winding steps and a unique cliff railway.

Ludlow, with its famous castle and many fine restaurants is a 30 minute drive away through the beautiful Corvedale. Much Wenlock, a beautiful black and white town, offers much to see and do.

Wenlock Priory, Buildwas Abbey, Bridgnorth Castle and Stokesay Castle are all within easy driving distance and offer history in the most idyllic of surroundings.
